Lenses and mirrors

A lens is a disk made of glass delimitated by two surfaces that are normally spherical.
The focus is the point where all the incoming rays of light that travel parallel to the axis are focused. The distance between the lens and its focus is called focal distance. A lens can be convex to converge light in their focus or concave to diverge rays.
